Yes, and here are a few reasons why we recommend cleaning new carpet. Most, if not all installers, lay the carpet out in your driveway or garage (fiber side down) to cut and fit it to your rooms. This allows direct fiber contact with dirt and debris. Cutting the carpet creates debris from the backing which embeds into the fibers. Also, one of the biggest reasons is manufacturers use loom oils which come in contact with the carpet fibers during the manufacturing process. The loom oil has a residue content and can attract even more dust and debris. Once new carpet is installed its a good idea to have them professionally cleaned to remove that dust, debris and the Loom oil residue. New carpet can be expensive and so we offer a discounted rate for newly installed carpet cleaning which will help you save a little cash but extend the life of your new carpet a lot!
