Some pet stains are just that, stains, which are not always removable. However, some do go completely away. The same goes for the urine odor.
The biggest misconception is that if you flood the spots down with water and suck it back up it will fix the problem. Actually, flooding the spots down is correct, BUT only when using a high quality pet enzyme – NOT water or a basic carpet cleaning solution. The reason is, you need the enzyme to spread out throughout the fibers and below the carpet (into the pad) where it can actively eat away at the uric salts which causes the odor. Once that is completed, then you extract the spot, while still leaving some enzyme behind, to continue the enzymatic process.
